Titled 108 Crows, Rumfelt began this body of work in November 2016 as a response to both a transformation of her personal environment and the changing of the political climate. These simultaneous shifts caused a sense of unrest internally as well as in the world around her. Rumfelt felt a strong need to create from this place. She chose Crows as the subject matter of this piece because of their significant symbolism as well as the stark and graphic nature of their shape.

Music Steeped in Culture

Taos 2017

There are opportunities for collaboration, please share your creative ideas .

Through the efforts of the town’s marketing, grants departments and the Enchanted Circle, a $50,000.00 matching grant from the State was awarded. We have a $100k marketing budget to promote music events this year with full engagement from the NM Tourism Department.  If art associations collaborate to create a product that relates to the music festivals, we can also benefit from this marketing effort.  We have experience from last year namely the Alabama Shakes and Michael Hearne concerts that will be a topic for the next meeting.
